great city filled with excellent writers and miles of productions. we painted almost everyday and got caught by police twice. nothing came of it though, since thanks to excellent improvised oratory skills we just got told off and had to promise to never go painting on the town walls ever again....eheh i love spain..
the people are generally supportive of graffiti but, even though painting illegal halls of fame is an ordinary thing in and around valencia, every once in a while someone will call the cops or police will drop by and tell you to leave or give you a (very low compared to shit here) fine.
yesterday afternoon, during our last piece downtown, (fyi we never painted on houses or property, we only painted walls which divided streets from demolished buildings or empty premises....they stay up for years!), an elderly man comes out of the house in front shouting that he was gonna call the cops. somehow we convince him that we were decorating an otherwise horrible wall full of worthless tags and ad posters....he actually left us saying "good work guys". later on his wife came over to congratulate us.
weather was nothing like here, we actually painted without tshirts most days. plus, the madness on new year's and the city itself!! students from everywhere, huge university.
i recommend it to ya'll graff lovers in particular.
